I think this is probably illegal. British households pay around £110/year for the BBC and in return we get to watch advert-free TV and listen to advert-free radio. It's actually one of the last semi-nationalised corporations in the country. The BBC only provides these services free to the UK since the UK pays for it. I believe the BBC have started now putting advertisements on the website for visitors outside of the UK (www.bbc.co.uk). I don't knbow whether people outside of the UK can watch the new iPlayer service or listen to the radio.

This guy knows he's doing something illegal and he's also spamming forums to raise awareness of his activities.
