 |  How long does it normally take to get into DMOZ? Well i've been trying several times now but to no avail.. is there a sure way to get into DMOZ?.. what do you think?

|  Re: How long does it normally take to get into DMOZ? There is no set time, some can go through pretty quick, others take a while. The best advice is to make sure your submission is 100% correct else it will be rejected anyway. |

| Re: How long does it normally take to get into DMOZ? There is no set time to get into DMOZ. The DMOZ editors are volunteers and review entries periodically. Some categories haven't had editors for some time now. Midlandi is right, but even if you submit to an appropriate category you may wait for quite some time before being included, if ever included.

How can it be different submitting your site to DMOZ or others directories? I understand while you are in DMOZ, your site should rank well in SERPS, but isn't that with good SEO, and good traffic, your site is likely to have the same results? |

| Re: How long does it normally take to get into DMOZ? DMOZ is seen as an authority website, along with the Yahoo directory. So having this is a part of SEO, it helps with SERPs.

I have read articles and blogs where people have given up due to the fact it seems that they are very slow and if its a selling site you have it may never find its way into DMOZ.
