![]() | Nice site. Did you custom-code it too?

![]() | What do you mean by custom-code? What I used was NotePad, and Internet Explorer. All the designs I make I type it all out, every single character. I've never used GoLive, Dreamweaver, etc. I just type, type, and type some more! It was a little hard at first, but I'm glad I learned to type it all out, because you can be very specific. For my site, I didn't use any templates I got for free etc, but designed it all myself.

![]() | Wow, I really AM impressed. It's not powered by WordPress or anything, is what I mean by custom-code. It's 100% coded by YOU, no installed scripts? (except the dynamic menu, of course; even I get those scripts) It's a GREAT habit to get in to. Trust me. Avoid using pre-installed scripts. Sometimes it can be addicting, and it can get out of control. Then your sites become worthless and you have too many to manage. Good luck with your site. Keep developing your own scripts and continue to learn PHP. (But, why not try www.mpsoftware.dk 's PHP Designer 2006 - it's good for PHP development; I use it. It's a wee better than NotePad )WOAH! I just noticed, your site is 100% CSS - no tables! Even I can't do that for larger sites. You, my friend, are doing VERY well. PS. It'd be nice if we could comment on your blog entries.

![]() | Correct! It's not powered by WordPress or anything else. It's 100% coded by me, HTML, CSS, PHP, Apache, (Dynamicdrive.com!). I have PHP Designer 2006 installed in my machine, but I just like NotePad. I'm working on a forum, because I don't want to use phpBB, vBulletin or any other scripts that weren't coded by me. Right now I'm working making a very secure account login system, where you could comment on stories, post in forum, add link to directory, do other future free stuff, etc. The reason I learned to make websites as I have, is because my older brother creates websites, so I decided I would learn. And he used NotePad, so that's just what I learned to do.
