![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've recently created a website and within weeks i've managed to get a good ranking on MSN for let's say, a very good keyword. Yet on Google, i'm no-where near the first 10 pages for the keyword. If MSN is this easily giving out ranks, wouldn't the spam sites easily manage to get good ranks? Or do they have another factor that is stopping the SPAM sites

![]() | Yes I to have had this experience. Quickly rising to rank in MSN is done alot while still not even near the top of the pack on Google. I dont know what the deal is. |

![]() | I wouldn't say foolish, but yes, MSN is much MUCH easier to gain ranking in than Google or even Yahoo. I've noticed, however, that they tend to rank newer sites higher... interesting little feature. All of my sites that have been around for more than two weeks are in the top teen on MSN for their select keywords... pretty cool. Too bad that they keywords don't generate many searches, and therefore I don't get much traffic. Bummer.

![]() | Its very easy to get higher rankings in MSN. Just get right meta tags & keywords. I had my 3 websites on #1 for popular search terms very quickly.

And google....if it is hard for so many people to rank...it has got to be easy for somebody...right? I just dont get it

| Member | MSN's algorithm gives a lot of credit to backlinks and is more compassionate to newer sites. While as for Google, it will take longer to get listed because it's algo gives regard to a site's age. So it all boils down to the difference of their algorithms. Heh, yeah it's weird how easy it is to get indexed and grab good rankings from msn. I'd be astonished but it's not something I would complain about. ![]() |

![]() | Not very many do use MSN search - though I think it's a little more than 7% - not much though. There are a lot more search engines, and MSN IS #3...
