I don't go along with the fact that MSN is supposed to be easier. I think a few factors come into play:

1. Most forum members will have some idea of what SEO is all about and therefore on-page optimisation should be better than average. I believe this is what MSN apply most weight to.
2. MSN is a young SE and consequently, they probably don't give so much weight, if any, to the age of a site.
3. I'm sure they don't give as much weight to BLs as Google does. In fact I'd say they definitely don't and this is something that is very helpful to a new site that hasn't had time to accrue many BLs.

As far as MSN being foolish, well if thats what you call it fair enough, for my part I'm glad they are!

Yea, im starting to like MSN a lot better. I have been able to get my site on the first page for: free webmaster directory, webmaster directory, and some other keywords.

The answer is simple! MSN credits links Quickly. Yahoo and Google dosent give credit for backlinks for a while. I can usualy get top 10 or top 5 within a month to 6 weeks on most keywords in MSN. then it could take an additional 6 months to place well on Yahoo and Google

I agree with jcorkern. MSN does credit links very fast. I think they should make this process a little slower so that the website will actually take time and get more traffic then just being credited fast.
