I was told to do this by some wise guy seo; i wont say a name.. But anyways i had to write google a letter and explain what happened. The good people at google understood the circumstance and allowed my site to be allowed back in the search results. Phew! That was scary. I didn't get my money back either, really sucks. I did this a long time ago, and I have learned lots since then. I thought it sounded shifty but they said that it was okay and it just added relevancy. They never mentioned keyword density resulting in keyword spam. LOL

thats consider as black hat... you might also want to consider google webmaster guidelines...

A big no no! Who ever told you that don't listen to them in future.
Anything that seems totally unfair to other sites you should be very sceptical of.

Hiding text in any manner is a definite no-no and Google are very good at detecting it. Text the same colour as background is definitely considered 'cheating'!

The advice is very sound, I have had a site banned before for using white text, its considered blackhat.
