Default Forum Problems

Is anybody else having problems with the forum?

I've been finding the threads getting slower and frequently gat a database error. Replying to threads has been getting slower too.

If there is a problem it will do the reputation of this fine forum no good, in which case can I suggest a planned investigation and shutdown for maintenance.

Where have all the mods gone? In the past few days I've only seen Bagi online. It was only a couple of weeks ago there were panicky threads about the forum dying off, somehow we need to pull this forum back from the brink, and really need the mods and other top posters to help.

I've been getting the same error but it's usually fixed within the hour. Of course, it happens again after a while...

Not long after the original post a month ago the forum speed improved a lot. This problem was seen across mahines, not a cache problem.

Thankfully the forum is performing well again, and has been for a number of weeks.
