This is because they are in use already. These days you would find trillions of sites registered. So finding a single word or double word domain is impossible or very rare. If you are able to get one then you should consider yourself very lucky.

These days there is a news that ICANN will be introducing other TLDs such as .love, .city etc... none of them are as popular as .com (windows support in IE when we press CTRL + ENTER - it takes it automatically)

Such domains with .com are easy to remember and easy to hit.

ICANN must do something about .com rather other TLDs.

ICANN seems to be a last solution to free up such domains... anyone want to add their opinion on this?

i would suggest using a different TLD.
also most good and easy to remember names are already taken!
so either try to make some up of your own or try to use a different TLD.

Well.. my post is not to use different TLD.. then its very easy but to have same TLD but in a different ways

this of this-

ww . yahoo . com
ww . google . com

of course i dont want to buy yahoo.com and google.com domains but think how many other domains will be free!

just like, i want to buy graphic.com then it would be easy for me to have ww . graphic . com (as www . graphic . com is already taken up).

My post is to have an alternative of "www" - either "w", "ww" or "wwww"

instead of 3W - cant we have 1, 2 or 4 w's? that way all of (all, all and all) the popular domains will be free up to use them! WOW--------

Imagine, and you would also say "WOW"

Either you can try to buy them from the owners(get the info from site/ whois) or look for less used TLD(like .info)

Yep... to many people not enough names. This is why they now have .us .au .dk .info .biz etc.

Is there anyone else who want to add opinions in this?

What we need is to have an option of either "w.website.com" or "ww.website.com" or "wwww.website.com" so that we can get all those reserved names which are currently with "www".

Try to buy it from somewhere, all "cool" .com domains are already registered.

Yes i know that all "cool" .com domain names are registered and that's why i am discussing it - HOW TO FREE popular .com domain names for us?

instead of using "www" . domain name . com - can't we have "ww" . domain name . com ????????????

This is getting tiresome. "domainname.com" is the domain. If you own the domain you can literally put anything in front of the domain name which in turn becomes a subdomain!

the domain name is not www.graphics.com it is just graphics.com so your idea is slightly flawed.

a better way would be just use a similer URL like graphix.com or graphic or GraphicArt ect..

Great idea, but in this case that would be third level domain names.
