 |  Stopping automated updates well today at morning when i was surfing net i observed that my broadband connection is eating more than i use. I tried to find out the reason.Well i dont know whtether this programme is a virus or the microsofts automatic updater software but it was really downloading even when i checked it not to do so. wuauclt.exe while i wsa thinking it as trojan but my virus detector and spybot both failed to recognise it so i changed it s place that too didnt worked.

| Re: Stopping automated updates wuauclt.exe is a process used to manage the automatic updates for Windows. This process checks for the latest updates through the Internet. This program should not be terminated prematurely. To disable automatic updates access the security center through the Windows control panel.
