Default No follow links

While talking a lot about no follow links there have been a issue whether or not allow any person to provide links for their comments or not while you cn take it in two ways people mainly comment when they are interested in that subject or they might be influenced in some way from that topic. But many webmasters started using that blog as a way of gaining the backlinks for new websites so google pae rank policy started to dimnify itself. So they made a agreement with yahoo and msn etc that they will not follow any link whihc have nofollow attribute

Mark, I'm not sure of the point your trying to make here...

nofollow is simply an instruction from the webmaster to the search engines not to follow the link. There are a number of reasons for using 'nofollow'.

It means no links will be followed by search engine. This type of attribute generally use in blogs, in forum and there are lots of reasons to use nofollow attribute.

i know i know this is a for not making search engines to crawl the pages which the webmasters dont want to get crawled. i am saying that due to nofollow links search engines can easily recognise the links which they dont have to follow up.This had also helped blog managers from being prevented through spam comments

nofollow doesn't kill off the blog spam that much..Actually I think most wordpress blogs dont use nofollow..all it really means is the spider won't follow the link and if im not mistaking, it won't count as a backlink

nofollow was first introduced to cut down the excessive number of backlinks being generated by blogs. The major search engines signed up to this as did a number of blogging hosts (but not all me thinks).

But, even nothing harm to post a comment if you are interested to post about the topic with your blog/site URL if that page or post blog has a popular one and getting good traffic.

Search engines like Yahoo, Google don't follow 'nofollow'
but the the "external nofollow" will not stop Yahoo from viewing it, I don't know about Google.

nofollow tag is google's invention, but other search engines don't consider it much. yahoo follows the link, but don't index, msn does the same, whereas ask.com don't even care about.
But if you want to stand high in google, try to get links from sites without nofollow such as forums(only few have nofollow) or web directories.

Some believe that no follow links are counted as backlinks, especially on Yahoo but they certainly stop PR distribution.
