![]() | gaining strong pr backlinks are the more chances to get high in PR however this task is really hard...all you need to do is to continue linkbuilding, and be careful of choosing directories in submitting your site...don't focus too much in PR, focus on SERP ranking and traffic... |

![]() | Its better forget about PR. Rather try to increase your traffic from search engines doing SEO; that indeed helps getting PR as well.

![]() | Ignore PR as it is worthless and not a acurate measurement of your website. Like webcosmo said stick to SEO and naturally your PR will increase, but do not only focus on PR. Look at on page and off page optimization. Then look at Press Releases and Atricle Submissions

lol...why do you say so that this is worthless?...having a pr is still useful but off-course we should not focus too much on this...PR will still affect your SERP ranking even in the slightest way... | |

Exactly, too much emphasis is placed on PR. Concentrate on SEO, and PR will follow.

| Member | Page rank is also not a big factor for me. Main aim is how to get more traffic. Increase the back links of your website. It should be theme based. It can help to increase page rank. Last edited 02-20-2008 at 05:24 PM. |

![]() | As already mentioned forget chasing after PR and concentrate on just working on your site so it has good serps and of course so you site offers visitors a great service that people want to use and come back again and again. To many people chase after PR thinking it is the answer to what they want, but thing is what we all want is traffic and good quality traffic which converts into sales, no? If so then doing well for as many serch terms in search engines as possiable is what you should be trying to get and also make sure they are search terms which are serched for alot and are relevant to the service your site is offering. |

![]() | lol..i have a blog with pr 3 and pr0...pr0 got higher traffic than pr3 so it means that PR has nothing to do with traffic... my point to my 2nd statement is that the higher the traffic the more chances that someone link you back...and we all know that PR is all about backlink right.. traffic is one factor of having a pr... but when it comes to mathematical formula if that is your point, well traffic is not a part of their mathematical formula...

I think PR and site traffic are not directly related, PR is a trust rank of a site given by Google yet it doesn't effect the activity of the site. As it has been said PR being based on backlinks, a site can be penalized for building backlinks too quickly therefore it may have good SERP's but no PR. |
