Drop in PR to 0

I have always found www.thisisouryear.com to be a pretty cool directory and it was a PR5 or 6 a few months ago. Pulled it up today and it was a PR0. That shocked me. I am wondering if the "paid links" issue hit them.

Hmm possibly, one of my sites got zeroed though, and i dont do any of that, have to keep an eye on it see what it does at the next update.

Possible Reasons:

Text link ads or any form of paid links
Excessive Linking

Yes, this was not a "newbie" directory and always came up VERY strong in indexing for all the big three. Even the subpages have gone to 0 as well. That is a MAJOR HIT. They have been around since 2000 I think and at one time had a PR 6 last year.

This one has dropped to 0. I've had a look at a number of tools that report the datacenter PR and they concur dropped to 0.

The site has over 14,000 registered members and has been around for years.
It had a very strong PR last year and I actually used it for several of my customers. It did drop from a 6 to a 0.
Nothing wrong with my internet other than I pay too much for it.

You are correct. There is a shift in PR. Is this an update? One of my sites went from a PR3 to a PR1 another from PR1 to PR0. Everyone says a PR toolbar update is only due in March 2008.

Pr update is either underway or completed. Check again, probably your site pr get back.

Its all google strategy just keep you website updated have you link exchnaged these days in bulk.iF so then probably that might have caused it.

it may have been something on googles side..check it a few days later and verify. If they lost many of their back links it wouldn't surprise me to see them drop to a 0

Fortunately,9 of my inner pages have got pr from 0 to 2 and 3 respectively.
