Why did the post count go up to 100 in order to advertise your website in the "Advertise your Site" forum?

As far as i know its an attempt to stop the spammers.
The Forum of late has become a free for all "self promotion" area rather than a discussion zone.

I could be wrong but I am sure Jumpen will clarify this matter.

You have to be hard sometime ... just see this guy has on 28 posts but he has already put 2 live links on his signature.

Don't u think this is unfair? Otherwise some people posts 40+ posts in a day ... you can find lot of examples

That's exactly it....I'm trying to revive the forum from the pits of webmaster hell....It's going to suck for a while, I'm going to piss a lot of people off...But what choice do I have? After a while, it'll go back to being a regular webmaster forum, but until the self promoting anti-community posts stop, I'm going to have to do this. I'm sorry.

I'm sure that we'll lose a lot of potentially great members...That's a shame, but in return, we'll lose 10 times the number of potentially horrid members....I think that we'll maintain a dedicated member base of about 10 to 15 posters....If we can do that, then this forum will see better days again. If not, then I'll be giving up my position to whomever wants it, and I'll be moving on. I don't have any interest in being part of a spammers community. Again, I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone.

"THIS GUY" has a name. I hate that we are using the "Bad Apple" routine but I understand it. Some of us have been viewing this forum for a long time but they are natural lurkers. Which I tend to be. Just because I don't fill up the forum with mindless and useless posts (40+ a day or whatever) does not mean I am not an active participant of this forum. I do not talk much, but when I do post I post relevant and useful text. So please do not just assume that "THIS GUY" is attempting to hijack PR. I put my TWO LIVE signatures up because it was a privledge that at the time I was entitled to. If it needs to be removed then by all means please do so, I will remain a member regardless because I consider this to be a good forum that provides great content. Sorry to babble as I tend to do BUT don't just make assumptions, that's something I really cannot stand.
