Default Major IE Pains...

Hey all,

I'm having some trouble getting www.veblo.com to look properly in IE compared to Firefox.

I also noticed that it messes up even in Firefox with widescreen computers.

Thanks for ANY advice/help that I could do to begin to equalize it.

Thanks,
-Matt

All I can say is that it will probably be hard, but again, it can be done.

I don't know nothing about what you are asking, but I thought the video on Mario Bros. was awesome. My son and my wife loved it too.

It can be done... you'll have to keep watch of your source code. I was looking at your source code and well sometimes, we accidentally put things there that can affect the look of the site in some cases/browsers like what you've said.

one tip: try to avoid using "100%" as your width because it has a tendency to be read idiotically by the browser and stretches the container to the size of the screen.

to help you get started, let me help you change two things:
find this part in your code:
HTML Code:
<tr> <td style="border: 1px solid #CCCCCC" bgcolor="#EAEAEA" width="100"> <img src="http://img.veblo.com/spacer.gif" width="200" height="1"><br>
and then change width=100 from 100 to 200.

and then find this part of your code:

HTML Code:
<td style="border-top: 1px solid #CCCCCC" width="100%" bgcolor="white"> <div id="content" class="narrowcolumn">

and then change the width="100%" from 100% to 650. that will make the look a bit more consistent.

there you go, I think that could be a good start.

off topic, I like the teddy bear usb concept, I'm going to make myself one of those.

Nice job redQueen, and oh for the record, you can use 100% if you set your body's margins to a number higher than 0.
