PS: Do you sometimes click on ads when reveiwing websites, to offer encouragement to the owner? I do, especially for new sites. Of course it would be against Google rules to actually ask someone to do this; I was just wondering whether people do it anyway.

Paul, i really hate ads, but this time i found a loveable at your site, hopefully i clicked on the one which generated the highest revenue for you. And about your site i would say that i miss something design element that could be able to brand your site. I hope that it is already exists in your mind
I think you should hunt up some sef module for this script in order to place keyword into permalinks. If i were you i would mark the read more links with nofollow to restrict their attributum passing abality. Don't forget to redirect the non www to www domain version.

Thanks Bagi, I'm not too fond of ads myself... I'm trying to keep them secondary to the content.

Thanks for your comments - your "sef" comment spurred me into action and I found some modules called path and pathauto that automatically produce sef links - seems to be working, check it out.

As you rightly say, there's a long way to go on this site, in terms both of design and content - it's really just a testbed for me to learn more about Drupal, CSS, php etc. Hopefully you'll see it develop over the coming weeks and months when I get the odd hour or two to play with it.

PS: I've just had a play with a xml news aggregator too - are these things good or bad, in your opinion?

The URLs now looks very cool, but to be honest i am not sure that i can tell you if feed agregator would be good or bad. I use a feed parser script to provide a little bit more and regularly freshed content for some pages, but it is extremly important to find its optimal place in your layout. I mean you shouldn't divert your visitor' attention from the content YOU provide.

Overall I like the look and feel of this site, you've obviously spent time on it. The only thing is a personal dislike of mine (but I know others like this) and that's on the home page where the centre column is centre aligned. Oh and did I click on an ad. Like you I'm not a fan of adverts and on this site are certainly not "in your face".

When I read last night...
.. I didn't understand what you meant - the centre column is left justified, not centered. But then today I happened to check the site from a PC with IE6 and saw that the centre column is centre aligned as you said.

Don't know quite what's happening, but it's browser-dependant:
Safari & Firefox = Left aligned
IE6 = centred

Can anyone confirm this is their own browser? What about IE7?

IE6 and IE7 show it centre aligned, Firefox and Opera are left aligned
