![]() ![]() ![]() | Which are the most profitable Adsense Ads for low visitor specialist sites? Image, text, referral, video? I'm just starting to experiment with Adsense - any top tips from people who've had success with them? Do's and Don'ts?? Thanks.

![]() | My experience says that images don't pay that much because there is less ads with images/less competition to drive the price up. I think text links pay better but I would say live google decide supposedly does smart pricing for the benefit of both you and the advertiser. Experimentation is your best bet though. |

![]() ![]() | I don't necessarily consider one type to be any better than others. There are other factors that you should consider also. Placement - where on the page are the ads, towards the top of the page, the bottom of the page, or my pet hate right in the middle. Format - are the ads running horizontally or vertically, or a box type ad, text or graphics.

![]() | I think that mainly depends on the content or design of your website.Personally, images are better.

![]() | I have the best luck with the mixed (image/text) ads but only when I have other text only blocks on the same page. I'm probably gonna try a video ad out pretty soon on one of my sites to see how that works out. On checking the CTR on video ads over on Adtoll I see they usually are pretty high.

![]() | It mostly depends on your website(s), for me search and large rectangles are the best. |

![]() | On my Niche Sites I have better results with Image/Referrals 160x600 Vertical ads. On my General Websites such as my web directory I have better luck with 1 Large Vertical Banner (Image/Content) and two content text ads that are blended with the site. On general sites since the content changes so often you are better off to go with text ads in my opinion. But on Niche sites I'd go with Referrals. Anyways I'm babbling and this probably didn't help any Mars I'm sorry To Sum it up, I think Image ads are prettier and not as much of an eye sore. Also, Image Ads and Text Ads give the same amount on each click regardless if they are clicked on as an Image or Text Ad, it just depends on what the advertiser set for their price. I'll shut up now. ![]() Eric |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Eric, I wasn't expecting a precise answer, so babbling is good! It's always good to hear of other's experiences, even if it's not possible to build a foolproof formula out of it...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Text....People view text, and think that it is a navigation link, and attempt to follow it. That works especially great on entertainment sites. I use banners, but more because they help fill out some empty spaces....I have made less than $20 in 1.5 years of running banners...I've made over $1,000 on text ads. I think that you should include video ads. People don't know, nor do they expect videos to be ads...They'll click on those because the video looks interesting. In fact, I have clicked on one video ad...Believe it or not, it was guitar related...and it was really interesting. |

![]() | it really depends on where you need or can put those ads, on your site design and even niche. for some sites with big archives and data storages even Google AdSense search bar can bring some good money, and image ads' CTR is as the rule lower than CTR of text ads |

![]() ![]() ![]() | From my limited experience it does seem that text adds get clicked more than images... I guess maybe people see images as information rather than a link to be followed, whereas when they see hyperlinked text they're drawn to click it! Jump - thanks for tip re: video ads... I'll look into it sometime

![]() | I have always found that text ads get more clicks and pays better. It may be best to left untouched, allowing google to serve the best. I also had best results with large rectangle ads. If you can blend large rectangles with content, nothing like that. |

![]() | In my opinion, Adsense for content is best, it looks like site content. Bigger Ad size is better too, you get more clicks. |
