Default vBSEO

Is vBSEO really worth the money, and does it do what it says?

I read an article which it showed the results, and they didn't really improve. If I find it, I'll post it here.

I've heard both horror stories and success stories... and as an experienced SEO, I am still a bit weary of vbSEO's setup. While it certainly adds a lot of the fundamental features of SEO to your forums, it also goes a little beyond and has not shown itself as foolproof yet, from what I have read in reviews and testimonials.

Honestly, I would think that because vBulletin is such a standard in forum software, that Google, Yahoo, msn, etc have some sort of vBulletin filter of some sort, recognizing posts from vBulletin forums, phpBB, and the like. I can't imagine that there is not some vB filters in the algo's. So if there indeed are, default vB content is probably just as good as any customized/optimized content. The SE's most likely know exactly what it is and where it came from.

IMO, there is no concrete evidence that vBSEO works, so why should I get it?

Regards Jason

Default Re: vBSEO

From what I have read there is little need for VBSEO as VB is pretty much well equiped as it stands.
But, I am one for using every resource that can be even a small amount usefull, therfore I use it on my forum.
My view is that no matter how small the benefits when SEO or SERPS is involved every avenue and oppertunity should be used and exploited.

Well dont belive the over inflated claims on their website for a start, I have it on one of my forums as to if its worth it, i really dont know yet i have had it about 8 months and not seen any real benefit.

I have been told by other fellow users of this, it can be very useful on really popular forums, also the support is excellent, sorry i cant help you more
