| Member | Hi Everyone, Has anyone noticed a some programs reporting many less backlinks on google than a few days ago. I use a couple of programs, one of which is SEO Elite. Anyway, my back links in google have gone down from about 1000 to three this week? Yahoo, Altavista etc still showing many hundreds, but my Google ones have gone? My webmaster tools in Google still reports over a 1000, any ideas?

![]() | if you are using submit express or any seo tools in checking the number of backlinks, i think it does not give accurate result . sometimes google has 0 backlinks until PR updates , maybe google has filter some of your links or in the process of updating the links. the best way is to check it manually through using of link: URL or site: URL. |

![]() | as far as i know, Google shows the links of a site in random - probably the reason for having such different results |

![]() | I, too, have noticed some weird changes in the number of links back to my site. Even in my Sitemaps account things have gone weired. It seems any links back to my data recovery services page have vanished. I'm hoping that the moving the data recovery forums from a sub folder to a sub web will help with the site's indexing. On a slight aside, if you have any questions or comments about data storage or data recovery, please feel free to drop by and join the forums and contribute. Luke |

![]() | I think the reason for this is updates , google is doing several updates with the sites and it might can be the reason for your problem...
