![]() ![]() ![]() | For the site I'm involved in www.buzzjack.com the Google bot visits on average slightly more then once an hour, but each visit it appears to take an average 5 pages. So anywhere from 120 to 200 pages a day. The site has an active forum where there are on average 1500+ new posts each and every day, as each post can be seen on a seperate page, then Google is nowhere near getting anything like all the sites contents. All these pages it doesn't get to visit, I assume the PR is of no value, or classed as a dangling link  Is there a way to encourage Google to come and take more interest in the site?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Site Maps is basically Google's service for webmasters, it allows the bot to fully index the website, all you simply have to do is sign up, and the create an empty text file on your Root Index to notify Google you own the site. Then what Site Maps can do is basically study your site and see how it works, it allows Google to follow links from the home page and create a tree for your site. And...it increases the speed Google updates the META descriptions and web pages for your site in the Google search engine. I would definitely recommended that you use Site Maps as it is a webmasters best friend for Google search, although I wouldn't just concentrate on Google. Concentrate on Yahoo as well, as Yahoo requires a similar process and is also very popular with Internet users (in fact is Ranked #1 on Alexa and has a 10/10 PageRank), so I would also recommend that as well. After you have activated them two, no one should miss anything from your site .Hope this information helped. Regards, Kieran Taylor, SimpleNetwork.co.uk |
