Talking online classic video arcade website

hello, i just had a quick question. im a newbie to this web design stuff so bare with me here.......i have been at this for the last 3 weeks and have gotten no where, so maybe someone here can help. what im trying to do is to use a arcade game emulator and embed it into my webpage but have not been able to accomplish this. i have my website almost complete but i can't get past this obstacle. just to let you know i have tried some of the java emulators out there but they are all very slow(nescafe, vness, cottage, etc). i have found one emulator that is awesome and is perfect for what im trying to do but i cannot get it embeded into a webpage because it is not a java type emulator. the emulator in question is m.a.m.e. and i have seen a few websites that have actually have accomplished this. the only way i believe this could be accomplished is to take the mame.exe and convert it to java somehow so i can embed the code into my html webpage. but i could be wrong, like i said im a newbie so please bare with me. anyway i also thought about maybe a mame shockwave emulator but once again how do you convert it over from its original programming language to java or even flash or shockwave format. if anyone could please point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it. i have been hyping this website up to friends and family and i have yet to deliver(embarrassing believe me!!). just getting the mame screen embedded into the page would be a moral victory and by the way i have looked into the copyright laws and i know exactly what i can and cannot do as far as posting games on my website. thank you in advance for any information that you might provide.....cheers
