Directory idea

I realize that with Google taking away a lot of the profitability of directories, there won't be nearly as many people looking to starting a new directory, especially a niche directory, but I've been noticing that there really isn't very much competition in the Construction industry as far as directories, or blogs are concerned.

So, if anyone is looking for a new website idea, might I suggest you take into consideration the idea of beginning a construction or contractor directory. Plus, then you could offer me a free listing for giving you the idea...

What do you mean? Why would Google need to be handled? Or do you mean as far as offering a paid directory? If you are planning on beginning a paid directory, then you might want to reconsider. If Google finds you selling links, your directory will be devalued.
