How to be in top ten results in google....

Hi everyone...

I just want to know that how can i get my site in top ten results...
I made much efforts but ultimately all in vain...
I dont know ...what to do now....
I changed contents of page many times...
perhaps or definitely there might be faults in my method...

So, I want to know what should i do to get it among top ten results...

Page rank is 4 too...but i think on page seo is not proper there...but how it should be done properly...

It would help if you gave us a link and the keyphrase...

What you need to do:
Use the phrase in the title and body text (as bold)
Use the phrase as in the "alt" (for pictures)
Use the phrase in your meta description.
use the phrase in your url (eg. www.domain.com/Your_Phrase.html)

Start building links with the phrase as anchor text (VERY important).
E.g. social bookmarking websites like searchallinone.com, http://www.npgb.org, digg.com etc.
Directory submission.
Try to get some blog posts on other blogs (related topic) with a link to yours.
Link to the article from your front page.

When you have done this, wait a month.

Social Bookmarking
Directory Submission
Forum Posting
Link Building
etc.

That isnt going to get you ahead, as thats what everyone else is doing !!

369874123 has some very good advice - especially regarding keywords and anchor text.

usearchme: Content is important... but is not the whole story. Even with excellent content you won't get high ranking SERPS without good inbound links with relevant keywords in their anchor.

The most important starting point is to ask "which keywords or key phrases do I want to be in the top 10 for?" then concentrate your efforts on those.

diligent_ss - if you tell us your URL and target key phrases we might be able to offer more specific advice to help you.

The first things you do is to check and optimize your site with your targeted keywords and best is to use keywords in your domain name.

And then Update your site content and the link building using your anchor text .

Agreed, how do you get people to link to your site for free ?

Good content !

You can faff about for months on end creating links back to your site, if your content is good enough people will link to you for free anyway and if its really good people will link back to you quicker than you could possibly create links back by yourself, thus making good content the most important factor !

You are right, choose a proper name or domain name based on the type of services does your company have. Using of keywords or proper name in a domain name is the effective way to rank well in the search engine.

I feel having a good page rank is not always going to work. Becuase you have PR4 and you don't show up in top 10 results, and I have a PR0 but show in the first 10 results for some of my keywords.
