Different ranks In Google.com and .co.in for the same search term

Why My Search Engine Position Different In Google.com & co.in for same search term ?

I Mean My Siet http://www.greatkhali.net

For search term "great khali"
In google.com its - rank 2
In google.co.in its - rank 3

For the Search term "the great khali"
In Google.com its - 6
In Google.co.in its - 11

Why Why Its different ?? please help me
also suggest me how to improve it....

google.co.in will give your more specifically India results and google.com will cover the worldwide.

Well if you want to have more good results in both...try to build your link in both .com and co.in websites with the keywords which you wanted to be on G.

I also had the same problem, I used to get the results for some keywords in first page in .com and in 4th page in .co.in.

I never was able to fix it up. Anyways as MIT has suggestted, I will try getting some .co.in links and see if that does the trick.

You have to optimize for each search engine individually...Google.com is much different that Google.co.in....Although, Google, as a rule, follows the same rules, each domain represents a different country, and each country has different players.

It is even different when you use [&num>10] to search.
eg: google.com/search?q=keyword&num=50

To have more specific result in google.co.in you have use hosting from india, i mean ip should be located in India.

I don't think it's possible to know all, I beileve there are around 700 datacenters known to the public. Here is a sampling:

I dont think hosting the websites in India will increase your ranking. Google has enough sense to know that hosting a website can be done anywhere in the world. What say guys?

I observed that is it easy to Search or to rank keywords by specific country than in google.com.

Well google.co.in will gives you pages from India and .com will gives you result pages from whole web...

All the data centres displays different results when search using keywords. You are using Indian data centre so you found different search results. .com display universal result.
