![]() | Well, I opened up a Christian bookstore at all-things-christian.com on October 1st. As of the first week of November my site started receiving traffic from Google Searches that has steadly increased to about 800 a day average now. At about 2 pm this afternoon I was utilizing the iwebtool for search engine placement on keywords, when I noticed that my site didn't come up on a keyword that usually ranks in the number 3 spot. Then I noticed that it wouldn't come up at all on any of the normal ones that I have been getting hits on. After 2 pm this afternoon I have had about 1-4 hits on my site per hour instead of the average of about 40-50. What would cause this. For example, on Google, if you typed in christian books on fear, I was on the first page for the last 3 weeks. If you typed in any christian artists name with music lyrics, it woudl come up somewhere. So many different names and items would come up, heck if someone type it an ISBN for a book, it would register somewhere in the first 3 pages. Now nothing, zilch. In fact, if I go back to yesterday and type in all of the keywords that brought people to my site, none of them work now. What did I do wrong? Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks. Colin |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's not like Google to just remove a site from it's index without good cause. I took a look and your site seems to be listed. What I'm betting is that Google somehow found out that you are using SEO techniques that are considered unacceptable by Google. It's likey that you were reported by one of your competitors. If I were you, I would remove the hidden text from all of my pages before Google does in fact remove you completely from the search engine index. Also, having all of that hidden text linking back to your index page won't give you any added benefit. If you need to keep the hidden text there, I would suggest that you make the color of the text a different color than the background and remove the anchors from each of them. |

![]() | Thank you, I will do so right now. I'm brand new, and didn't know hidden text was illegal, or inappropriate. We learn as we go I guess. |
