![]() | Hi guys, Can anyone tell me what is the main deference between IE and Mozilla Firefox ? I have been using IE (version 6.0) for one year but from now on I have decided to use Firefox. I just want to know as to what Mozilla can do which Internet Explorer can not. Thanks! |

![]() | Dont think you have put this question in the right forum, cos this is for SEO not different types of browsers. Firefox is more secure and also is tabbed making life easyer for the normal everyday user. It also has loads of different add-ons you can get which some of them are very handy. For a web developer Firefox is better because it renders pages folloing the rules set by W3C standards, it also has a web developer tool bar which is so valuable for anybody who takes making websites serious. There is just a few quick advantages I could think of. |

Not 100% though. (but it much more so than IE). If you want a fully W3C compliant browser it's gotta be Mac Safari. Try the acid test - http://www.webstandards.org/files/acid2/test.html#top If you see a smiley face with 'Hello World' above then your browser is fully compliant; if you don't, it's not. As far as I know Safari is the only one that gets it right. Having said all this, Firefox is better than IE

![]() | I like firefox for the addons (could not live without them) and web compliance IE6 was build I think 5 years ago without standards compliance in mind IE7 is way better at that I also dislike IE for allowing all sorts of things to be installed in my hard drive as a web developer I use all that I can find (IE6, IE7, Mozilla 1.0, Firefox 2.0, Opera, Safari 3) for testing

| Member | IE is a security nightmare with the older versions (as I have found) and for the past two years have always used Firefox. I find it way more secure, easier to use and just simply better.

![]() | Mozilla firefox is the best browser ever created. As a developer i can do anything. The layout, updates, add-ons and security are all top notch. I can't believe that most of the world still has not switched over or know that firefox even exists, this is beyond me. I also find mozilla more user friendly compared to the new ie7 browser. There should be one standard browser for the entire planet. MOZILLA FIREFOX. It would make life so much easier eliminating so many compatibility issues, especially with programming/designing websites. |

| Hardcore Spam Killer! | Basically I use all three browsers - IE7, FF2 and Safari. It's better to check while you designing any website. I always try to keep websites same in all browsers. In my personal opinion, FF has upper hand now over all browsers.
