![]() | I dont really get the point in that sorry, yes if you want to do well then listen to what the experts say, this does not mean though that an idea you have is always wrong though. SEO there is no rules written in stone the search engines dont tell us all the details of what they do so it is always bit of a guessing game and learning from experiance with SEO and all the more reason to listen to the experts cos they have more experiance. This does not alway make them right though and can just as easy be fooled by coincidences if they are not careful. |

![]() | For SEO in particular though there is always one parameter that stays the same ... Search Engines will always want to get their index to have the best results and be free from spam, to have satisfied visitors ... If we remember this we can always do good even if search engines change their algorithms

| Member | From my point of view, I have picked up a lot of what I know from trying out things, using forums like this one and working alongside some people who have really produced results. Should I concentrate on what they have done? Yes - if they have been successful, I would be mad not to. But, as for trying new things on the site I work for, no way, as if it backfires, I am in big trouble. So, I like to let others lead and I will follow !

It depends. But most of the time they are true since they have some proof and evidence what they are telling are true.. But if I were you I will discover some of ideas for yourself...

You're right Midlandi, experts are often giving an opinion based on the available data available to them. I've also seen experts give outdated advice too. Why is it that experts can give different advice? Listen to the experts and make up your own mind.

My advise there then is to have a personal website you can play about with and test out anything you fancy there first. ![]()

![]() | I would say no dont do what experts say, do what you think is right for your site, seek advice by all means, but i have always found the best way to discover somthing is to try it urself, even if it hurts your site in the process, at least u have learnt somthing and all sites can recover from simple mistakes you might make, it will hold u in good stead for the future.
