Same old same old this question is so boring now. Your question has been answered by the other loads of backlinks they better PR the pages linking to you the more effect it will have in rasing your PR but...

PR sucks and dont mean anything unless you buy and sell links,serps traffic and who visits your site are whats important are what matter not PR.

Google only updates PR that is showen to the public every 3-4 months so just cos you have links to your site does not mean you will instantly have PR.

To get higher PR you need as many links to your site from other web pages as possiable the higher the PR of the page linking to your site the more PR juice is sent in very simple term. Of course there are many other factors such as how many other outbound links are on the page and such but...

Thing is why do you even want higher PR?

What do you think you will gain from having higher PR?

All PR is any good for is selling links otherwise it dont mean anything, you should care more abour serps than PR, I wish they would just bin the idea of PR altogether cos I am sick of hearing people go on about it thinking PR means everything when it dont mean anything but the amount you can ask for when it comes to selling links.

Google is not the oldest site on the internet for a start.

What I mean was, when Google has to work out the PR for billions of sites, do you really think 3 - 4 months is a long time to wait?

always use relevant website. Even if their page rank is low, but as long as it it relevant to your website.

Why dont you contact Google and tell them your not happy and that they should employ more people and spend alot more money on hardware just so you can have your PR updated more often than every 3-4 months cos you say that is to long then.

You asked I told you 3-4 months, it really does annoy me when people dont want to listen and come out with stupid relys such as

download is a hugely used keyword and you dont have a chance in the world if your asking questions like this, when deciding what serch terms to go for your going to need to be more specific in the market your aiming for just trying to do well in the word download alone you do not stand a chance.
