I own a "Computer Forumz" site - a site dedicated to helping people with their computer problems/questions. The site is run by volunteers - who help in their spare time and out the goodness of their hearts.

I need one or two people who could work in the "TCF Tech" team. This involves;

* knowing phpBB well
* knowing how to install mods for phpBB3
* know how create custom pages
* Know how create homepages ect.

NOTE: You may not know how to do all them - but if you know at least one, then still apply. Over time - I may donate to people in the "TCF Tech" team if they produce good quality maintenance of the site.

I also need one or two moderators - who have a good knowledge on computers and a little knowledge around phpBB - If not I can learn you around phpBB.

Basically I will need a moderator to keep the forums in order and assist members ect...

Not very proffesional to have a domain based on "computerforumz.com" is it?

Why is it not proffesional. I think its a great name. Pretty much summarizes what the site is all about.
I wish I could help You Jason, but the best would be to learn it Yourself. It won't take too long.

For me it is a great name and domain name, but as you said it is a computer forums. The site is quite simple but need some changes on your topics and you need to categorized it according to computer hardware, software or any computer related topics.

I agree with Meti, I think that the "z" makes the site seem to be second rate...Not to say that it iz...

Anyhow, I didn't delete this post, even though it appears to be spam, but you did post this in the wrong category, this isn't news that pertains to webmasters....So I moved this to the appropriate category.

Well the site is run by volunteers who donate their own time and expertise. We are taking on some designers who are very good - and I'm sure there going to make the site a great place to be. A special thank goes to "christian" who installs all mods for the site - he's been great and he is a resigned member of the support team at phpBB.

I just need some site moderators who have a good computer knowledge to help the site and keep the forums in order ect..

If your interested - please let me know.

About the domain - I tried to get - thecomputerforums but it wasn't available. I am thinking about getting a new domain - anyone got any suggestions?

I wud say best of luck... only thing i did not like was logo on the header. Everything else is good including zzzzz contained name as well

I heard he is an hacker, but there is no way he is bypassing my boards security.

I like the site

I think this is a great service and wish you the best. I was thinking about asking for advise on my sites but these guys are tough. Hang in there and you'll do well.
