Promotional mugs and other freebies

Would you send a coffee mug on every order? It doesn't seem like you would make much profit if you sold a set of strings for $6.00 and had to pay $2.00 for the mug, plus shipping costs.

I notice that you don't carry Martin Marquis, is that something that you can add to your product line? That's all that I've used for 12 or 13 years.

Do you have the mugs made up yet? Oh, and do you sell to the US?

No, no, no... obviously couldn't afford to give a mug with every order... but possibly promote with 'free MG mug with orders over £30' or some such. But also to give away to personal contacts etc

I have stocked Martin Marquis in teh past (good strings), but I don't have any at the moment... and no, sorry I don't supply US - not economic as most US goods are cheaper than Europe!

What you can do is offer a mug to repeat orders.

Almost like a loyalty scheme.

Keep them coming back.

I just ordered mugs - couldn't help myself!

More for fun than sound business proposition.

But what the heck - it doesn't all have to about money does it?

After much searching and agonising, I went for www.4imprint.co.uk

108off min qty - a bit under 3 quid each incl 2-colour print, VAT & delivery (cheaper if you only want 1 colour). I could have got 72off from another company, but price would have been almost the same.

I'll post a photo when I get them!

We are a new company in the first 10 months ,our outlay went straight onto boxes wrapping paper and ribbon all with logo,s on looks nice but dont sell enough (yet)

Thanks for your input Uhuh - some good points. I've ordered some mugs now anyhow, but will probably mainly give them to personal contacts. You can get mug mailers that make them easy to post safely... but adds to the cost again.

I've thought about printed picks before and will probably get them done at some stage. The high order quantities needed put me off
