does ebay count. i buy fix and resell outdoor power equipment. once sold a honda i paid $5 for for $109

No, I think a lot are happy it's just that they don't want to speak up about it, who wants others to know you are a reseller.

Its easy to start reselling but reselling has various draw back including lots of limitations and restrictions to what you can do, some companies force you to use their own DNS server which makes it easy for you customer to know you are just a reseller

Starting with Reselling is always the best answer. Cost involved is insignificant compared to Dedicated server. Lower risk and you gain experience as you get a hold on your business.

Reselling is always easier to start. Many companies provide it very cheap. Say Webhostingbuzz.com, SiteGround.com and Hostcats.com and they offer also support with their plans.

Reselling account works great for small web developement companies / freelancers. You can sell hosting for a much higher price and have customer stick with you.

other than that, I dont think reselling make any sense.

I plan to start from HostWW.net reselling plans. They seem nice for me and my pertner recommended them to me strongly. Cheap prices. Does anybody know any discounts on them?

Agree with you here. And one thing to add. Most of reseller companies do oversell a lot nowadays and if you are runing weи design studio overselling might be big trouble for you. In this way I think that solid web design companies must have solid reseller options (non oversold ones) something like Urtopicmedia offers: http://utropicmedia.net/hosting.php?spt=10
