Shoutbox

A shoutbox would add to the site. Chat rooms don't work, but shout boxes are nice.

I personally wouldn't impliment a shout box... true, they are better that chatrooms (which I hate) but I simply preffer a forum. Chat/shout boxes tend to litter up a website to a certain extent, and it's been my (limited) experience that it turns away visitors.

Both viewpoints are good. Maybe we can try and compromise! How about there is a certain forum page which has a shoutbox in it? That way, it doesn't clutter up the page, yet it is there for those who need it.

^ Ditto. I have been to forums and the shoutboxes take away conversation from the forums as questions get answered and topics are raised in the shoutboxes. People also tend to quote from shoutboxes

I think both are not of use to a growing community like iwebtool, once we get like around 500+ members and at any given time if 20+ members are online, then we should implement a chat room similar to the one at NP, juz my opinion!
