Just Launched: Conspiracy-Forums.com

After weeks of hard work, designing, etc., I finally finished my new site, Conspiracy-Forums.
I know I don’t have very many topics or discussion going on, I basically just launched it

What does everyone think of the design?
How about the category structures?
Etc.

Does everything run smoothly?
Are there any broken links, database problems, other errors I may have missed?

If I require new information, thoughts, etc. I’ll post it later.

I think you should add an SEO category.
After all SEO is a conspiracy

Looks nice, its now ready to be promoted in different media - forums, blogs etc.

Great forum jamestl2, my only comment would be that you need an attention grabbing logo to fit in with the cool domain name.

I like the design and navigation system. The one thing it lacks is community, but I hope you will soon find a lot of members. Your forum loooks really great!!!

I think that your categories are fine, but your sub-categories, I'm wondering how you came up with "JFK" and "9/11".....Most conspirators aren't talking about the same buzz that everyone else is talking about....In politics, you should have sub categories that include military take-overs, loss of freedom, the Gestapo(the police), etc....Also, in paranormal, you might consider some subs like la chupa cabra, EVP, poltergeists, alien abductions, etc...I would get rid of the first 2 categories, Hollywood and business don't fit into your motif very well. I think that it's great that you are using VB for your forum, and that in itself will help things along....But the best advice that I can give to any forum administrator is to always be active on your forum, if you own the forum, and you are not active, then the chances in that forum failing is increased a great deal. Anyhow, good luck with your new project...

I personally like vB better than the other options out there so that's why I chose it . I do check my site every two or three hours (besides sleep

), if that's considered "active" or not though, I don't know.

I put those ideas into sub-forums (9/11 and JFK) because I know how popular they are around the net. Do you think that those sub-forums you mentioned (military, abductions, etc.) would become that big eventually, that they should require their own sub-forum? Maybe you're right about my first two categories though, maybe I could move them to a sub-forum of "other" or something, as I don't know that many type of conspiracies.

One more question I had about my structure. Do you think it would look better if I gave each forum its own category? Say instead of having a"consipracy central", I would just move my current forums into a "forum category" position of their own. That would eliminate the need for all those sub-forums, but then again it may look a little "big" with all those different options for people to post in, especially since mine is practically new.

Nice site and forum. The only thing I would recommend would be a new logo, and spice up your category descriptions a bit. The "Place all .... here" description is a bit repetitive.

Right now, I'm currently having hosting issues, in case anyone has been trying to reach the URL. I'll let you guys know when it comes back online.

Nothing has changed about it since I first launched it though, so you may already know what it looks like.

Well, James, I like you, so I would be willing to offer you free hosting for your site....I think that you have a great idea for a website...I think that a lot of other web sites have forums about JFK and 9/11, that's why I suggested to you that you think of some alternatives.....But, if you are happy with your current list of ideas, then I'm happy for you. If you need hosting just let me know..
