I realize that Nigerians are noted for scams,but let tell you guys,the troth of the matter is that since ppl know Nigeria for most of the scams,they just hide behind the name and commit all sorts of online crime,and the whole world blame it on Nigeria. The question here is not about Nigerians being scammers,even Americans scam.You need to see some of the emails i get that i have traced to scammers in developed countries,countries normally associated with scams. This is about giving us the legitimacy to do real clean business.The reason there are so many scammers whether Nigerians or others is that we are denied so many opportunities. We now have a lot of banks in Nigeria with A+++ rating that paypal can have a business relationship with that will enhance our participation in online business.

| Re: Paypal's Discrimination !! Nigeria is internet's scam capital. Why just paypal, most payment processor will cancel any payment from nigeria without any question. I guess you need to do some introspection, before blaming someone else. Evn myself had quite a few experience from nigerian scammers. |

I run a matrimonial site for a client and I can see 100s of nigerian IPs trying to scam. Now a days we dont approve any profile from nigeria. 2checkout also reject all payment from nigeria. Trust me, that country seems to have hell lot of scammers. Not trying to generalise, but defintely the scammers concentration there is probably 1000 times more than that in any country. | |

| Re: Paypal's Discrimination !! As far as I know, Niger is one of the risky country for online transaction. I read so many frauds and cyber crimes conducted by nigerian. Like here in Indonesia when lots of Indonesian do carding for ilegal buying on online stores. We are now still rejected for online transaction using CC from some online stores But paypal works here.  |

| Re: Paypal's Discrimination !! I want to say through my experiences, Paypal offers a powerful great service, however they are unfair & would use an alternative program if given the option. Sadly almost none exist with the same abilities. |
