Press Releases

Morning Guys,

Just wanted to ask.

On Friday, I found a load of "free" press release companies, so thought I would submit our website launch to them.

Really did not expect to get them published due to the high advertising content.

But....... two ran with it so far.

Now, do you think this is a good form of promotion?

One of them offers stats and showed :

Search Engine Crawler Last View

And its got a load of hits.

Do you think it is a good idea to keep press releasing, or does it not really have much impact?

Hi there

I think writing a press release is a good idea, not just for traffic reasons, but its a good idea to announce the release of your site for common sense reasons, it wont get you lots of hits but it will get ur name out there, it didnt have much impact when i tryed it myself !

Well, managed to get three in total, out of six sent.

One of them has been picked up by a few American online newspaper sites, so who knows, maybe there could be some impact.

I totally agree USearchMe, I think traffic wise it will be limited, if at all, but it is all about getting the name of the company out there, so every little helps !

Main idea of press release is throwing a news worthy story to the news people. The key is getting picked by them.
Press release is one of the main tools for advertising for many companies.

Agree, press-releases help company to gain popularity and inform its existing and potential customers about coming important events, news. But it is so when it is writen wisely. Everybody should remember that the subject of any press-release must be interesting and useful for great ammount of readers (internet users). Writing press-releases about nothing has no sense and brings no profits. Pick out only real newsbreaks and writing press-releases will be one of your main tools of website promotion.

I am planning to use them to launch our new deals, as we tend to lead the way in terms of financing an investment property with a unique structure.

I must admit, I just thought I would test the water and it went well, but I will concentrate on only releasing "worthwhile" news from here on in.
