![]() | I am totally confused....think I have been doing too much reading and now nothing is making sense! Have three questions: 1.) I have pages on my site that represent brands. I am using the brand name as the primary keyword. Can I then use that brand name combined with another name throughout the product page? I.e. Primary-Weber other uses on site would be Weber Grill. 2. Can I use some of the same keywords in the meta tags that I have on other product pages on my site or does each product page need an entirely different set of keywords? 3.) When creating content for my product pages, if it is done on a purely content focused basis do I need to worry about T-1 2nd keyword? Thanks in advance for all your help. I am new to this industry and to this site. Terrific site...thanks to everyone! |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi net and welcome to the forum. I think the simple answers are: 1) Yes 2) Yes (to include same is OK/best) 3) Both Basically include your keywords as much as possible, but in a natural way. e.g. Title: Weber Grill Keywords: weber, grill, weber grill, webber (etc) Content: The Weber grill is great, it's made by Weber and it's a grill ![]() Basically you can keep repeating the bit that's important, but keep it i context. To have your content as "weber grill webber grill weber grill" would be bad! Hope this helps a little!

| Hardcore Spam Killer! | is it ... Anyway, keywords are not very effective in SEO in present time. Meta description, title, content - are more important. So spend your time on more those.

![]() | i don't think so..Keywords is consider as the first part in SEO campaign. Keywords are the terms that search engine users type in the search box to conduct a query. so you better choose right keywords and optimize it well for your site to gain good ranking and increase the chances being found on top result page. |

What meta description? Even without meta you can rank.. since most SEs ignored metas this days... The title play a very important role in terms of ranking...

The most important search engine there is Google, does use meta descriptions so dont give bad advise saying they dont matter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS1Mw1Adrk0 Meta keyword not massivly imortant, dont bother repeating the same words either it dont make any difference just put in each keyword once and seperate each keyword with a comma job done. As for using different keywords on different pages yes it is a good idea to do so as this helps you cover more search terms making use of inner pages, but the main key words (The theme of the site will be expected to be on every page). Example: Contract hire and leasing site Home page is gonna have contract hire and leasing both as keywords aswell as say personal, business, lease ect ect But the page with BMW deals on will want BMW, Deals, Contract, hire, lease, leasing ect ect so then your audi page would have audi, deals, contract, hire, lease, leasing etc etc As you can see in a site I work on here which I have used the same theorys. www.lease-hire.co.uk A thing to make sure of though is dont use keywords in your meta keywords tag, description tag and title tag if they dont exist in the content on the page. ![]() The trick then though is to get links back to each of your pages with the anchor text which is most important for that page, the main search term you want to do well in for each page and build it up so all search terms have been covered well. I hope this advise has cleared a few things up for you and been of good use.

Johneva, META Keywords, and Description are not very important nowadays Google says will use them as a snippets ONLY if it finds nothing else relevant to show. It does not mean that it takes them into consideration when deciding your positions in the SERPs. That does not mean you should not use them, I personally include them but, I give them very minimal attention ...

![]() | Oh god yeah dont spend any real time wasted on any meta tags, but make sure you use them is what I was try to get across thats all. I even said in my post not massivley important dont bother repeating words, prehaps I was not absolutly clear in my post I am naf at doing that as my english and comunication skills suck. Well done content and inbount links is what its all about not meta tags. but make sure if you say contract hire in your meta tag that your page is about contract hire or they wont think much of you, straight away. Site coding, site accessability, Header tags, anchor text, bold text, img alt text, keyword desity on your pages and relevace though the site are all the most important on page stuff. Of course all with moderation dont go overboard and spam the hell out of your pages cos nither your visitors or the search engines will thank you for it. ![]() Dont add words into your meta tags which are not in you pages is all I was trying to get across extra to the fact of making sure you use them. Your saying they are uselless makes out like they should not be used at all, to many people already think that meta tags dont do anything anymore and should not be used, I carnt belive how many sites I come across asking for SEO help and they dont even have any meta tags. I get exactly what your saying though dont waste much time dealing with meta tags just be sure they are relevate to the pages dont add words which dont go with a page. |

| Member | If you have already different pages for different products then target per page with single keyword. It is not necessary that your SERP increase soon by right keyword. It takes some time and other activities. After targeting the pages with keywords collect backlinks, distribute articles, and submit the site in directories. It is most important. Then u will find some pages in google search by some of the top keywords. Donot purchase the link from link farm. Better add site in social bookmarking, blogs and in directories. |
