Article with a link from a .edu what's it worth

I have seen offers to get an article with one link in the text of a .edu

What is the going rate or what do you thing it's worth.

Is this just overrated or is the .edu value that extreme? What is your opinion?

I hear .edu gets some extra love from Google. If thats true, it should be good to get.

The point is to get a relevant and quality backlink rather than from .edu, etc. Anyway, as I know, Google gives links from .edu much importance as the latter is seen as a trusted one.

.edu is a trusted link and gives credit from google.

.edu links gained the trust of Google and other SEs however, these TLD is prone to spam and often used to manipulate rankings..
