![]() | I was interested in learning more about search engine positioning? There are general formulas that most SE use to categorize sites. In your opinion, what do you find crucial to improve your rank when working with search engines.... |

![]() | Every SE is different, but I like to target Google because they get over half of all internet searches. Incoming links are the biggest factor for Google. You need to have the anchor text (the actual text in the link) on the other websites to have your keyword phrase(s) you are trying to rank well for in the link. Second is page title. Don't make the title to your home page the name of your company or something like "Welcome to the ABC Company Website!" That will get you nowhere. Try to keep words like "and" "to" and minor words that SE's don't use for search out of the title. Use something like a vertical bar (found above the enter key) to separate your keyword phrases. The earliest words will have the most weight. Also, link to your pages internally using keywords or phrases that you are trying to target. For example, don't link to your home page with a text link that says "Home." If your website sells widgets, then you want your subpages to link to your home with a keyword phrase that is important, like "widgets for sale." Then link to your subpages that sell specific widgets with text that says "red widgets" or "cheap red widgets." Whichever keywords you think (better yet..know) will convert to sales well and use them. Bam! I just doubled your traffic. |

![]() | I would like to add some points: - relevant DOMAIN NAME - best fitted to your page content but widely used in main search engines KEYWORDS - wise KEYWORD DENSITY (take care of avoiding keyword spamming!) - fresh, useful content - inbound links from relevant sites, use ANCHORs

The most important factors are proper use of anchor text and link building (especially organic IBLs)... ![]() | |

![]() | SEO's two important factors are on-page(includes how the keywords are used, over-all content and site structure) and off-page optimization (link building) |

| Hardcore Spam Killer! | For Google backlinks are more important ( my personal view) and for other SE's onpage optimization matters most. SEO is a continous process and there is no shortcut way to achieve that.

![]() | I guess there are very many ways to say, "incoming links and title tags" ![]() So I'll say that you should stay away from black hat techniques. They may work in the short run, but are not worth the risk. |

![]() | The best way to optimise your online internet marketing is to: Have the very best content on your website for that particular subject matter Get plenty of proper links off important, trusted websites Make sure your website's designed properly to be indexable by the search engines Use analytics to understand what's working and what isn't so you can refine your online marketing.
