![]() | I was wondering how I can improve my PR ranking? Currently, my site is PR2, but I feel that I have minimal momentum. Is PR ranking based on backlinks? |

![]() | it is really true that page rank is based on backlinks or inbound links . Submit your link to a related site and check it the site will give benefit to your site such as page rank, backlink and traffic. |

![]() | Don't worry too much over the PR, as it is not a key factor in rankings anymore. |

Pls explain why PR is not a key factor? I accept that it is not the only/unique factor, but if take 2 websites with the same keywords (or, say, the same keyword density) the PR becomes crucial! PageRank = quality inbound links + quality page content High SERP = high PageRank + right keywords + right keyword density I agree that it you need traffic, you should focus on your pages rather than PR. Otherwise, if your primary goal to sell links etc. your PR gets much importance.

![]() | Simple yet hard. I kind of understand how to build a higher ranking but I guess it takes time. It is true that sites with more pages or internal links tend of rank higher? |

![]() | To increase PR you have to increase backlinks. It plays a vital role on pr. You can do these: - Submit to directories - Forum signatures, post regularly - Post on classified sites - Social networking sites - Articles etc etc.

![]() | PR in fact is a sign that your site has an authority. If you are a spammer you can fly up in SERP in, say, three days, but then search engine check your site for very many parameters, such as quality of backlinks, keyword spam, unique content etc and lower your PR or even you will be banned from SERP. The only way to ignore PR is to ignore your place in SERP, because when you use white or at least grey optimication technologies, you are at the same time raising your PR. That's my inho ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Geeeeeeeeez, I think you've got it wrong. Search engines don't put you in a high ranking position, then 'check up on you'... they use continuous algorithmns that are recalculating all the factors every time they crawl. However, your statement that PR in fact is a sign that your site has an authority is kinda true. In theory. Kinda. ![]()

| Member | I always approach it from three angles : * Back links - Start submitting to free directories, increase the amount of one way links back to your site. * Add relevant and new content on a daily basis if possible, you can achieve this by introducing a blog or something along those lines, articles, news etc * Start a relevant recip linking campaign, yes, according to many now this doesn't have the same impact, but it does still help things along. It really is down to hard work and time.
