Default What do you consider a fare link exchange?

Im just curious as to what you all consider to be a fare and benificial to both parties when partaking in a link exchange...

Would you give someone a PR4 link for a PR3 link ?

Maybe two PR 3 links for a PR 5?

What would you consider to be a fare scale ?

personally I only share PR5 links for PR5 links back...

Like to hear your thoughts

try to take theme in consideration. meaning i.e. from your media theme Pr5 exchanged with pet directory Pr5 might not be as good as if you would get your media theme page Pr5 linked from a media themed Pr3 especially if you can get them to put it in the text body. Also ever noticed that a King looks down on his Kingdom meaning everything is below him and looks up to him. What I'm saying is if you have a PR10 can you only exchange with a PR10???? I surely don't think so, it just makes you choose more wisely (theme oriented, contexual, demands on placement). Remember every link in is a vote and no matter how small the vote is it's worth something. How about 3 PR3 pointing to you for one Pr5 pointing from you to one of theirs. Be creative the variations are endless when you are on the high side.

Yes, if you are going to exchange links, then it should be a fair deal... Means the Same PR exchange.

But I would consider relevancy and the page content first than PR.

I think that you should completely ignore PR....Until someone can give a good reason why PR should be the only reason a page has value, I would ignore it. I don't do link exchanges, but if I were to, I would exchange with high quality relevant sites, regardless of their PR. You have to remember that only one search engine uses PR, and they don't place very much weight on PR.

I will share with someone of a lower PR if their site is good content.

It depends actually on the quality of the site, how much traffic they get, niche of the site. PR3 today means tomorrow it could be PR5.
