My site just got listed in DMOZ directory

I checked my sites yesterday and I saw that my site got listed in DMOZ directory.

It took 4 months and I will see now what difference it will make

Congratulations. Over 5 months ago I submitted mine and up to now no sign.

Why does it take so long,is it because of so many applications and lack of Man power etc ???

I submitted about 3 weeks ago. I was under the impression that it might come up soon. Worried to hear that it's taken so long for you guys

Is it worth trying to become an editor or does that take just as long?

Richard, being an editor could have it's advantages, but I really doubt it's worth the hassle unless you have many sites which are in a similar niche, and there isn't an editor for that cat already .

Dmoz takes agess, submitted many sites to Dmoz and yahoo directories still no sign of the sites, although i must say 2 of the sites have got listed but not sure when. Still trying!
