Does anyone know how to promote a website to get it index fast on the major serach engine?

Rissee, i think backlins from some stron regularly crawled domain will do the job relating google very soon. Regularly some weeks need to get indexed by Yahoo! and for me tha msn is the lasiest one.

Try to create a blog in a sub-domain or in a folder, write a simple blog post. SE's spider will crawl your site in 48 hours or less and your site can get listed.

Since Google receives about 60% of all Internet searches you want to make sure you are included in it right off the bat. Type in "sitemap" in Google and use Google's sitemap submission tools. Once, you do that, you will need to verify that the site is yours by creating a text file titled whatever Google says to title it and FTP it to your website files. Google will verify it and as for a sitemap in xml format to be submitted to them. I like to get mine from http://www.xml-sitemaps.com. They are free as long as you don't have a huge site. Finally add that sitemap to your files on your server and tell Google what the name of the file is. After you do this it should only take a week to be crawled.

Manually submit to google and make sure you submit your sitemap, ensuring its correct.

Getting Backlinks from already crawled site is the key....Forum posting for example, linking to already crawled sites.....

Before Google PR Updating My sites has a back links in Google 4185
but after updating it shows only 508 why so? i am confused!
plz tell me any one why?

To get indexed faster you should gather quality links and link to related sites.

some possible reasons:
-Google minimize the results shown
-Links are no longer active or deadlinks
-Your links form other sites are removed

Getting more back links will increase the traffic and page rank to your site.To get more links concentrate on the content first.Participate in blogs and social networks.Stumble upon is one the best way to increase the traffic to your site if you do it right! All the Best!
