google count forum signatures as backlink for a site. forum signature is the possible way to get ranking and traffic as well. yahoo groups count as backlink for the site also but it is the form of spamming.

Hey - Look at my sig. It's text even I had the anchor tag. I don't have any problem in other forum or blog. Can anyone tell me what is the correct format to display as the anchor link?

More signature links you have, more change you get more backlinks.
