Hey everyone.

I'm new here, and a student, and just some simple web work. However I need some help with something. I want to make an announcement system for a site - where there is an area I can type what I want, submit it, and it will show up on a rotating banner. I've done this the "dirty" way before with php writing to a text file, and then displaying the text file with iframes and marquees. I've tryed other methods, but it didn't work out, so any help is appreciated.

If i were you i would hunt up a nice free ajax fading banner script. They are easy to implement and usually very easy to customize the output.
