![]() | I am trying this new idea, that someone has recommended to me... To make the story short, I have developed a couple pages (49 to be exact) and I linked all of them up via a new menu from the main header of the site on October 10 late evening. Since yesterday, I see that Google has indexed all of the new pages and they are now included in the SERPS. The problem is that I was expecting higher results. You see I have done something similar before, and although I only added a couple pages previously, the SERPS for those were in top 10 immediately... - between 7 and 10 on Google. Now the new pages currently range between 25 and 70+ so my question is : Do you think that I over optimized them?? an example would be this page: http://www.drumsoloartist.com/drumstore/Tama_Drums.php Which is optimized for Tama Drums Thanks a lot for all/any opinions... |

![]() | the term over optimized means search engine spams or used technique like keyword stuffing. the reason why there is drop of SERPs because google is frequently updating the fresh data and the data center. You may read this article about over-optimization. http://searchengineland.com/070802-084012.php |

![]() | Just for my information please - I'm a learner here. How is the page optimised apart from the number of times Tama is used (plus the use of the word in headers, bold face etc)? I did a quick word count on your Tama drums page and it totalled just under 500, your word count for Tama was about 21 that is about 4% That does not sound like "keyword stuffing" if that is what you are worried about. I might have got the wrong end of the stick here, and be missing something. John |

![]() | Hi I dont really understand what technique you was trying ? but never mind that. Personally i do think you over optimised if i go from the page you show, all you have to do is read the text, and it seems like you have written that page to get tama drums in as much as you can, rather than write it for your customers. Your pages should be written naturally i accept u wanna say tama drums, but theres no need to keep repeating it. Woc |
