Default Dmoz too harsh?

http://www.dmoz.org

How many of you guys are actually included in the dmoz directory? I am rarely accepted by the editors over at Dmoz. To be honest, it is quite annoying.

I submitted to it a while back - I never got a confirmation email or anything, so I don't think it was included.

However, they did say that it would take up too a couple weeks for inclusion or for it to be reviewed... so I still have my fingers crossed, though for the most part I've given up all hope.

it's really tough with Dmoz, i submitted, never got a confirmation or anything and the worst part is the category page I'm submitting to has not been updated for months. I don't even know what to think anymore ... are they short of editors or they got lazy ones working or biased ones or what....? *groan*

www.dmoz.org

It's a great directory, probably the best one out there - and it is free. PR is 8

it is free, it has very high PR, Google and other SEs use it to get their listings BUT it just takes soooooooooo long to get approved!

I'd call it the greatest directory only if my sites get accepted hehehe

I have never been entered for any of my sites. So I just gave up. It is pretty hard and I don't even think the editors even review your site, they just click the NO button 20:1 times. That is sort of how DMOZ keeps their database from getting to large.
