Why backlinks in Yahoo decrease so rapidly?

Yesterday I checked in Yahoo search and could find more than 1 thousand backlinks of my site.But today,when i checked again,only 50 backlinks left.What's the reason?Why do my backlinks in yahoo decrease so rapidly?

I've noticed this behaviour also.
Tomorrow it might be 1 thousand again.

I have seen this happen a few times before with yahoo. Nothing to be alarmed about. They are probably just jigging things about.

I've had a similar experience.

I had a site which I'm fairly sure wasn't indexed by yahoo (very small site). The site definitely didn't have more than 1 or 2 back links until recently.

Then recently my traffic picked WAY up.

The first time I checked for BL it was above 50. Every time after that the number has been under 20. Right now Google claims zero and yahoo claims 14.

Pretty strange.

I think it's just an update of SE. Be patient and it will get back to normal in a few days.

I have also heard what mr cat has said, yahoo are making some small changes so im afraid we all have to be patient and see what happens

Out of curiosity, how do you check for backlinks from within Yahoo?

check again, I think its done now....giving proper results for my websites.

into the search bar. You will be redirected to Site Explorer within Yahoo, and able to view the links.
