Google updates their index on an almost constant basis...They also update their PR values at an almost constant basis....but they only export their updated PR values to the toolbar once in a great while. That's why sometimes you'll see me saying PR export instead of update....Although, I say update too. Technically, when you see PR changing, it's not actually changing, but Google has only exported their data to the toolbar. Also, like Chart said, the position of your site is based on many many factors, of those factors, PR is only one. So PR really doesn't tell you where you should show up for certain searches. | |

![]() | I am too tired of it and the PR posts as well. So, don't really care.

![]() | Well i thought i would share something i noticed the other day.. Using www.digpagerank.com This site has a neat little feature that when checking a PR of a domain, it also finds fake PR by turning results Red "also" when and if a domains PR is changing the results change from green to Orange = Orange for non confirmed Now this tool i have used for some time. It has Always turned the results orange when certain DC are changing to the new PR, meaning if u checked the first set of IPS with this tool and all the results came up as a PR4 but it noticed in one of the other DC's it was a different one then all your results would be orange -= meening it wasnt sure what your actual PR is.. So far this tool has never let me down But the other day Oct8th when i checked my domain all results were orange but no DCs were diff all 0. The very next day all results went back to green and still showed PR0 In the past when results were orange it stayed during the PR update and only then, so from my experience with it .. its telling me my domains PR has been updated, however there was no change which is impossible with the number of really high PR backlinks "which are indexed by google" So once again - To worry or not to worry.... That is the question.. If google was changing the pr however the toolbar hasnt changed, that would confirm this myth, however tools are not 100% acurate. may just have been a glitch who knows. ttyl guys |

![]() | It is possible to have another PR update. I have read that google is changing the algorithm and changed to page rate system. But we are still not sure, if there is PR update..Lets wait. |

![]() | Sooner or later Google will decide to get rid of it. Why? It's data that can be manipulated. They will keep it for now though because it is the one thing that really separates them from the other search engines. On a second note, Google's little "punish the link selling sites with low PR" idea is a huge mistake on their part. Many SEO professionals are also smart, not just Google employees, and they will figure another way to bring their sites to the top by understanding the search algorithym. This will devalue Google's stand out attribute, PR, making Google even with thier competitors if not behind. Google may be king right now, but if I were them I would be very worried about how well Microsofts Live.com works. Couple of big mistakes, and they will pull a Netscape. |

![]() | pr has always been a waste of time. keyword targeting, back links and search results are what matter. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, PR has been exported. I have a site that is only a month old that received it's share of PR, so it's obvious that Google hasn't given up PR. |
