Have you checked out the new streets feature on google maps yet?

Its as if you were right on the street looking around. I hear theyre using black volkswagon beetles with camera mounted 360 cameras to take the pictures.

This is awesome! I'd heard of it, but hadn't seen it until today when my Dad told me my brother's new house/street is included (he lives in Sausalito).
It only works in California at the moment... but if you thought the google maps satelite images were good... well, you ain't seen nothin yet!

Pick a street in ca then choose street view.

From what I heard those things might be illegal in Canada.

yeh they are very cool. i have seen pics of the car they use. i know they are having problems at the moment because they are not aloud to have companies logo's or anything on any of the streets, so they need to find a way to remove any company brands or logos's from streets and shops they pass.

i have no doubt google will get around it, they have enough money to throw at it
