Default Installing Google Analytics in myphpadmin

Hi, could you someone tell me how I can install the Google Analytics code on my website?

Im using myphpadmin and i dont know which file im supposed to put the code in, there is 2 files for everypage, for example index.php and index.tpl (the tpl file is what i edit to change things around).

Please if someone could tell me which file im supposed to edit and if i place it in the .tpl or .php file where would be the place to put it?

By the way i've got the on other fourms to. as some forums perform better with different topics. hope thats cool...

Thanks everyone

Regards,

Danny

If i were you i would open the notepad and place the analytics code to the blank file. Save it as for instance analytics.php and upload it into your server. You need to edit your footer.tpl or some similar file by adding this smarty code into that
Code:
{include_php file='analytics.php'}
I guess it would work!

If you have footer.tpl you may simply place the code into that, but i belive that you need to use the {literal} in this form.
Code:
{literal} <script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript"> </script><script type="text/javascript"> _uacct = "UA-xxxxxx-xx"; urchinTracker(); </script> {/literal}

I'm a bit confused since wrapping the code with literal should work. Please let me see how you inserted the code into the footer.tpl file.
