A few years ago I had one of my IT guys build this site TotalSearch.org
I use it everyday and I don't think I could live without it. It really is just my personal tool but I thought I would share it. The site generates NO INCOME so this one is a freebie.
It allows you to enter one keyword and then quickly display the results from many search engines in a manner that is not altered like many tools.

A simple idea that is wonderful.
The gibberish in the middle is something he put there. We thought we might expand the site one day. Instead I just use it and is probably one of the tools I use the most.

Thanks for sharing - not super-exciting, but a handy little tool... saves re-typing. Of course it would be better if it showed all the different search engine results in parallel rather singly!

Because of the number of sites I own and clients I work with.
I am always tracking current search results and web marketing trends.
I have to watch pay-per-click results as well as free serps.
Being able to type in a certain keyword or phrase and then scanning all the SE's for results quickly is very important to me.
Also, I want to make sure that the money being spent on ppc's is being shown under proper results pages. I manage multiple accounts for google, msn and yahoo.
Just makes life easier.

Yes it is a life saver for me. Since I only really care about page one results, it works for me great. Maybe someday I will develop it into something else.

It is a tool that I use and some others might find useful as well.
Most basic web developers / website owners would find it "totally pointless" I agree.

I take it back, I've actually found it useful.

It shows results searching from the US rather then from my location in the UK. So for that it's great!

Here's how I use it a lot.
I have three clients bidding on top position on all three SE.
I can put in one phrase, GIFT BASKET, and then fly through all three.
Put in another, DOG FOOD, zip through all three.
Etc, etc, and watch their comps at the same time.
Saves a ton of time.

Must say the only convenience I got out of it is just the 1 click simplicity to change from 1 SE to another..

Your right jwd25, that is pretty much it.
It really is for those searching for first page placement results on all three of the main SE's. If this is something you do a lot, it is a great tool. If you don't, then it is "pointless".

Tried it. It's ok i usually uses tabbing for that so I can compare. If you showed the results of all of them at the same time on same page it would be really useful.
